the next time he calls, I should answer

the next time he calls, I should answer

A Poem by Emily B
"

or, do what I want

"

go ahead

draw that line in the sand

make it stretch as far as you like

maybe it will curve and snake and wander for a mile or two

while you're at it, maybe you could build some fences and a wall, to keep me out,

or pile up all your doubt and suspicion and assumption--

until you can't see me anymore

I'll be over here

building my sand castle

So many lines, and walls, just bury me in the sand before you draw that line, making its center point across my body, because half of me is yours, and the other half, well I feel deserves a castle. And maybe one day when you forget these terms of boundaries, you can come to rule once again, along my side, as my better half....

Ha, this is what popped out when I read this... I love it Emily!!!

Great Write!

Tommy
