We have so much snow here, in the mountains, that I don't know when the spring runoff will warm and slow enough for me to be able to soak my feat, but you have me wanting to test the waters. It hit in the seventies today, and the local news is talking about flooding...And all I can think of is how nice the warmth feels...And flowers, we had six inches of snow last week, and flowers poking up this week. I hope mother nature is trying to tell us something...
I go out of my way to walk barefoot on Zoysia grass. The thick mat feels wonderful on my bare soles. You capture well the carefree feeling of spring. Kudos!
if you can't run through new grass, then what is the point? this makes me think of the cover of your book. i have always wondered if those were your feet standing on the rocks.
oh yes to feel the grass anew barefoot...simple sensations of spring...love the image of water splashing over quiet rocks...this uplifts and inspires...as does spring...wonderful...

I am no Wendy;
but my voice brings you back to me.
And you sit around my feet,
anxious for a story
or a kiss.
Listening to my words
spinning adventures,
like so much g.. more..
