Little boy, Little girl

Little boy, Little girl

A Poem by Duckey

Stop
Listen
I see you little girl
I see your scared eyes
And your bleeding heart
I see your unsent notes
And dulling blades
And i beg you
to stop
I am here
I can help

I see you little boy
I see your bruises
And your anger
i see the pain in your eyes
And the lines on your skin
And i beg you
To stop
I am here
I can help

Little Boy
Little Girl
It gets better
Time will heal your scars
And the cracks in your heart
If you let it

I have stitches in my heart
To hold it together
And staples in my skin
To stop it from splitting
and i promise you
I didn't put them there by my self

Little Girl
Little Boy
Let me help you
I don't want another suicide note
Of someone who died too young
Of someone
who had a lifetime left to live

Little boy
Little girl
Believe me
It gets better

Thank you very much :)
Emily, there are times, which I believe this poem, and others, I want to swallow the pills, and end it. Having just read an on-line article about a twelve year old boy, who committed suicide, earlier this month. I have walked, in his shoes, having numerous attempts, which I couldn't go through, with it. As I hid this fact, from my parents, for several decades, before telling my mom, about 4 years ago. Even now, I have to guard myself, from allowing my inner critic, to take over, my soul. The next time, not so sure, I will be around to type, something like. As part of me, wants to find peace, at all cost, even death. This doesn't make me, suicidal, rather just stating a fact, I live with, on a daily basis.

I do hope, your poem will make a difference, to anyone, who teetering on the edge.
