What's New

What's New

A Poem by Emily
"

Taking beautiful nature in and appreciating it

"
What’s new is the charcoal swirls in the dusted grey sky,
patterns rotating among the clouds
Glistening water droplets carefully
placed along slim blades of golden field grasses
Crickets springing from one blade of grass to the other,
playfully chasing each other
Frogs covered in mud,
popping in and out of a frosted pond
What’s new are the observances we notice every day,
in nature’s beautiful hues

You have got inspiration from nature, it´s pretty nice but sometimes a particular kind of writing. I would like to think on it like if your poetry were a painting. You must be a romantic painter trying on literature.

you are welcome.........!!! :) :)
The last bit reads more like advice to the reader. Written outside the mind of the poem. I like the imagery in this because nature is inspiring even when it's not trying to be. If you left out the end two sentences this would read, to me mind you, as something incredible.

Our tones define so many things ...moments, places, people, life... and our words pencil in the heart.

Beautiful imagery that reminds us to take time "to smell the roses." I really love this.
