Assumptions

Wrote this after reading Robert Ray's poem Judged on here-which I think is incredible

Purple swelling.

Red veins weave from the iris.

Bloodshot and dark.

Abused.

Platform heels, leather skirt,

ribs showing.

Silver chain leading down...

Asked for it.

Hair slicked back by

nature's gel.

Thin and snapped.

Given up.

Stained a*s,

scuffed shoes,

stone cold face.

Homeless.

Rounding stomach,

hunched and heavy.

Stealing taxes.

Engraved marking on wrist.

Prison.

Branded bag.

Thief.

W***e.

Dyslexic. 

Bipolar.

I'm bored now.

It's easier judging people than really wondering over why they are the way they are, but I guess too often, the judge is judged as well, so it's really a twisted world we live in...

It's far too true that people see everything at face value, and I can't speak innocently as I think we have all done this to some extent, maybe not on appearance but on deeds or attitude ect.
I tried to use alliteration and lines getting shorter to show how it becomes a game, entertainment and second nature.
