The breakthrough

The breakthrough

A Poem by EmpressPoetess
"

Entry in Albert's poetry cafe's 10/40 contest

"

I see the desolate end.

Gleanings for birds.
I turn my face up

to the heavens above,
my cries echo as a trough.
Acceptance crawled in

smooth as the ocean,
beyond sleep

erasing the gray outer surface

to reveal love.

This is very beautiful and rejuvenating to read and I bet it's the same to experience. I love the way you've made it read so freely as it would be to experience this. Love the serenity of the read and the picture it presents to the reader. Loved it!
