A stolen Life

A stolen Life

A Poem by Broken Wings

You poisoned my love for life

With your serpent tongue that spun a web of lies

A thousand kisses of an angels touch

That washed away the pain of the setting sun

O what a fool I was to believe in such a feeling

Such as hope could conquer the despair of my heart

Shattered like the mirrors reflecting the many monsters

Of my personality leaving me alone for eternity.

You showed me the way to the dark light we all fear

Hand in hand peace in our hearts as we took the final fall

Our love for life erased away like a distant memory

Never to return to the father land for the greatest of all sins.

O what a fool I was to believe in such a feeling

Such as hope could conquer the despair of my heart

Shattered like the mirrors reflecting the many monsters

Of my personality leaving me alone for eternity.

My last tear I shed for you before they dry away in the flames of hell

My love for life may be gone from the lightest of light

However yours has just begun to burn brighter than the sun.
