My Shell

My Shell

A Poem by Rose Downing
"

I wrote this years ago when I was a fool in love. This poem helped me to win a young girls heart. It's still one of my most favorites.

"
You are the sunset, mine the rising tide.
Together we are ships upon the horizon.
When I'm with you, I've nothing to hide
Like stars, we burn through a new dawn rising.
And how, with you, I feel harmony chime:
Two pieces of the puzzle click together.
You fill my soul beyond the edge of rhyme,
Leaving this poem unfinished forever.
