Alien AttractionA Poem by Rose DowningI understand you humans express love by arranging words in esthetically pleasing ways.
Everyone has some kind of beauty about them.
There’s the kind that’s straightforward, the kind that sneaks up behind you, some that zig, some that zag this way and that. But while we’re all stumbling along on a two-dimensional plane, Jessica Gourley arrives in her trusty UFO. Clouds split as she descends from the above and beyond average. Glorious light shines around her as she etches crop circles in your field of fission. And if she lands beside you, her little grey people-skills will leave the room stunned. You’ll be helpless against her hypno-radiant smile. She could lift a whole city with her raw, animal attractor beam, or obliterate all in range with her words of mass destruction. She makes me want to chase her, create conspiracy theories, tell stories about her, devour every scrap of data like I’m decoding alien signals. I stand shivering alone on an empty night, searching the skies for her glow, longing to be abducted by her, longing to receive her anal probe. © 2025 Rose DowningAuthor's Note
