Reflected

A mirror is a powerful tool--

It never lies,

A mirror shows faults, scars, blemishes, and tears.

It can show what is hidden.

 

A mirror is a reflection

Of the viewer, for the viewer,

Created by their experience.

 

Some see the outside of themselves

Others look deep,

And see how the outside became.

 

Still others see

The inside,

Gleaming from a greater person.

The mysterious figment

that is rarely acknowledged.

 

A mirror never lies.

A reflection shows the viewer,

But the view is never the same;

 

It changes by the eye.

Mirror shows no mercy. It throws the most beautiful light and the most foul filth at your face - without apologies or pardons. This poem has some nice insight - I like it.
