Funeral DressA Poem by Erica :)
I wonder, will you mourn me?
Will you leave your high paying job for a day, maybe an hour? Will you drive to the nearest Kroger to buy me roses when you can't remember that I love lilies. Will you park at Jerry Spears, step out the car, and walk through the glass doors? And will you stand in a line, waiting your turn, behind about fifty people, only fifty? Will you, once you see me, press a kiss upon my chilled cheek and lay the roses on my crossed hands? Or will you stay at that job while I'm being shown and buried or even just burned? I was just wondering because I wanted to know what dress I should wear, I know you like the blue one. © 2011 Erica :)Author's Note
