A Little Trust in You

A Little Trust in You

A Poem by Erik_M

I finally realize
you’re the one
who’s heartless
So I’ll rip out my heart
shove it in your chest
& give you the only thing
that i have left
aside from my light
but it’s the best
thing I have to give
nothing else satisfies
so it doesn’t matter
if I sit here a bit more empty inside
everything’s already wrong with me
you’ll be just fine, alright

I love everything that’s wrong with you
because it’s the only truth
you can’t trust the papers or the news
but at least I might be able
to have a little trust in you, oh yeah

everything is flowing from my mind
into yours so we can be one of a kind
Come on & let’s blind fold your eyes
the darkness is what you see
but your other senses are intensified
you are not blind
but after time you
crave sight
submit your soul to
see the light

I love everything that’s wrong with you
because it’s the only truth
you can’t trust the papers or the news
but at least I might be able
to have a little trust in you, oh yeah
