Bleed me a river

Bleed me a river

A Poem by Evelyn Vayne

Spiraling down where lost hearts cry,

For love has fled, and no one knows why.

My soul is stained with shades of gray,

A night monster you'd rather keep at bay,

I writhe beneath this silent scream,

You drink from my wounds like a midnight dream.

Tell me sweetness, have you had enough?

Has all the pain you caused unmasked my bluff?

I’ve bled out all I had to give,

Every breath I take, I beg not to live.

So sink your teeth, make me whole--

Then weed out this cold, lonely soul.
