Final Goodbye

Final Goodbye

A Poem by Evelynn

And I’m running out of time

I’ll be gone before midnight

But before I can go

I have to say my final goodbye

Don’t worry about me

Don’t let life go in a blur

I’ll be just fine

And you’ll be with her

I'm not trying to hurt you

I just can’t see this

I’m not trying to guilt you

But I can’t see another kiss

I’m doing what’s best for you

And though I will cry

I know that you’ll be happy

And that’s good enough for me to say my final goodbye

This is beautiful and describes such painful emotions in such an artistic way. It has the feeling of a wonderful breakup song, in a way. I am looking forward to reading more of your work!
