Where I Belong

Towns blur together

Cities are all the same

You’re still on my mind

And I’m the one to blame

I should’ve never fell

I should’ve never thought

I should’ve never dreamed

Pain is all that it brought

I sit by the window

Waiting for a sign

That maybe I was wrong

To leave it all behind

But I know that it won’t come

Because how could it be wrong

If it makes you happy

Then away is where I belong

Good job with rhyme & rhythm which helps your piece flow along with a compelling storyline. The ending is the opposite of what I woulda thought for this familiar saying "where I belong" -- usually it's to be with the person that's being addressed, but in this case, you're saying "to go away" is "where I belong" -- adds a bit of interest to craft it in an unexpected way (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Then away is where I belong" I like this part. Sometimes being away is best. Sometimes more for the one pushed away them the ones who did the pushing. Sometimes these things make us stronger.
