Danger

Danger

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

The rising tempest.

"

Danger. Danger.

The red light flashes.

Danger. Danger.

I sit in front of the light,

waiting for the dread to dispel.

A rising tempest

that I can’t escape.

Before I can ever move,

the sky darkens.

Red light blinks.

Danger. Danger.

In a trance, I pull away.

The tempest settles and

the danger fades.
