Body and BloodA Poem by E.V. BlackWhat is holy but to consume that of the divine? The body and blood are vows to kiss and to conquer. What is holy but to consume that of the divine? Yet, its reverse remains a sin. Human flesh and blood are the forbidden fruit. To dine on these, because of temptation’s fleeting whims, would be to cast the consumer from his Paradise into a hell.
Just as the consumer consumes the fruit, madness consumes the consumer from the inside out. His mind twists into something less reasonable, less than bestial. A monster. A creature to be reckoned with. The consumer has kissed and allowed himself to be conquered. © 2012 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
