PsycheA Poem by E.V. BlackHer soul was a dream, fluttering on iridescently designed wings.Psyche was a butterfly. Her soul was a dream, fluttering on iridescently designed wings. She took her Love and believed in him, but they were parted. Any and all happiness was a dream.
She could only close her eyes and dream of what was. What is was painful, so she sank into her mind.
Beauty was jealous and made Psyche suffer. Tasks were assigned; Psyche’s hands moved but mind did not. She dreamed of what was. She locked her love away inside her soul and created winter in her fingers.
Love awoke and stole Psyche away from her pain. The feelings simmering in her mind blossomed. Psyche metamorphosed from her cocoon of loneliness and darkness. Her mind and her soul became one intertwined by the threads that bound her to Love. © 2012 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
