rue the hay

rue the hay

A Poem by redd Brick Keshner

all have gone far and wide
there, a fair distance away
where no eye spy nor stray
only hindsight dare confide
even sproutlings coy in Spring
no fresh joys will they bring
still from Sun, buds cannot hide

Thanks KS, such kind words that affirm. You are much appreciated. 🙏🏻
do we want to let ourselves be happy?
hide in darkness or let the sun shine on our hearts?
This reminds me of William Carlos Williams' "The widow's lament in springtime"--

Nice work here.
