Boy and Bonnet

Boy and Bonnet

A Poem by redd Brick Keshner

Among the blossoms, bright and wide,

A boy walks by his mother’s side,

In his small hands, a bonnet light,

To crown her head with spring’s delight.

She smiles as he adjusts the bow,

Her eyes aglow with love’s soft glow,

In every thread and woven part,

A son’s devotion, mother’s heart.

Such a sweet tale of a child's love for his mother. I was always picking my mother wildflowers and bringing them to her as a kid. She'd watch me out the window picking daisies and violets and when I carried them inside behind my back she'd always act surprised and put them in water right away like they came fresh from the florist. She really knew how to make a little boy feel special.

Beautiful artwork and wonderful words shared my dear friend. I have five grandchildren. We are blessed when the child love us. Their eyes make our world become better. Thank you for sharing the hopeful and amazing poetry.

I do agree my dear friend. Good evening from cold and chilly Michigan.
It is a bond that seems to never be broken...that of mother and son.
