A soft glitch near the iris- where mercy pixelates into ghost. You drew me in grayscale longing then fed the data to nostalgia’s host. The image said: trust the blur.
“Render Mercy" is a compact, visual‑driven poem that drifts between the language of technology and the textures of human feeling. It invites the reader into a liminal space where image and emotion overlap, offering a mood that’s at once intimate and strangely distant. Its pared‑down lines leave plenty of room for your own interpretations, making it as much an experience as it is a reading.

Hi Brick, I was reading outside the lines and noticed "you" in your poem...is a particular person?
I watched the trailer Blade Runner 2049 but got distracted by a Jonathan Davis documentary.
I've done a few meds so

From what little I know, then: from a purely film‑craft perspective, Blade Runner 2049 is an atmospheric slow burn that builds on the original’s questions about identity, memory, and humanity. It seems that this new film amplifies them with breathtaking cinematography, a haunting score, and more emotional intimacy. There is also the sense of a deliberate, almost meditative pacing which I feel isn’t for everyone, but for those willing to sink into its world; like its cult following, for example: it may potentially feel like a dream you don’t want to wake from.

It’s… interesting; most probably a visually ambitious film that certainly made some bold choices. People seem to have strong feelings about it: for some, it’s a worthy sequel; for others, it misses the spark of the original. I dare say it’s a kind of film best approached without too many expectations.

You have to watch it first though. My take is mostly on the difference between real and "real". But I don't think that's the only thing going on with Blade Runner and it's sequel. 2049 especially addresses a type of identity crisis technology induces that seems a little to prescient. Are we all just glorified tools making more tools capable of making more tools while we get ready to log off permanently eventually? Is that what evolution really is? Suffering for the margins? I've been drinking so... you know, blah blah blah
