What an excellent perspective to see the underscore as a way to say to be continued, without saying to be continued.
This must be the grownups version of not yet finished because every time I see or hear the words to be continued I think of Saturday matinees, that always stopped at the good bit before the dreaded words to be continued came up on screen, leading to an audience full of groans... but at least we all got over it when the cartoons started! 😀
I also like the idea of the underscore being a row of neat stitches that binds absence to the next existence.
Very cleverly done.
