in the waning light

in the waning light

A Poem by redd Brick Keshner

The streetlight flickers,
its circle thinning and swelling
like a tired breath.

A man drags a cart of bottles-
they strike and scatter
against each other,
a bright clatter
that almost arranges itself,

as if you could lean in
and hear the fragments
choose their own song.

Great poem. Vivid imagery. The last three lines are truly inspired and inspire me to want to get writing.

That is so good to hear. Sometimes writing can be a tough gig. 🕊️🙏
