stain of scents

stain of scents

A Poem by redd Brick Keshner

Oh, the smell and stain of mimeo ink,

Gestetner stencil paper, sharp and grainy,

the scratching stylus rasping its mark-

embedded forever in memory.

And then the well:

rusty lever squeaks and squawks,

iron throat coughing water,

palms left with a ferrous scent.
