April's Fool

April's Fool

A Poem by redd Brick Keshner

shall you consider
with a glance
what ails this
wracked chest
to whisper?

may you come here
on a chance, outside
while painted-over grills
creak & strain to open:

encrusted gates
await firm hands.
therein, opulent
niceties are mute,
minute breaths, plenty.
