Words

Words

A Poem by DrD

Somewhere, where words are born
You came to me and taught me to use them
In their most important form
And in their greatest meaning
For “love” was no longer a lie
And “forever” stretched beyond all calendars
And yet you alone defied them all
Because still I cannot describe you

But you have, you have! Have in the gentleness of your intent, with the awareness of what loving another person truly and wholly means. You've had the very best teacher because these are words worth remembering. The lines preceding your final one prove something - methinks you know what!

I really like this! I can relate to the words and it values the use of words yet isn't some soppy/sappy poem. Keep up the good work!

When one is as "forever" as this, there are seldom the perfect words to describe them -to be somewhere, where words are born is to be the essence of one's beginning in the heart, mind and spirit. Love became real, and eternal!!
Lovely!!
