SEASON JOURNEYSA Poem by DrDSpring has come upon the land And trees are publishing new leaves The transformation comes in green And the sky has shed its grey. Thoughts of you prompt my migration To the chattering brook beside the glen Where you watched parades of whispy clouds And celebrated the sparlings first flight
With summer I will go to the river To watch it move upon itself Remembering how your hand felt its current As you smiled as if you knew its message And fall will take me to the woodlands To watch leaves made spectacular by death Where you fingered them with special wonder And dreaded that they were omens of winter © 2014 DrD |
