Tonight, I held a woman in tears,
Telling tales of troubled times,
Yet simultaneously teaching...

Tonight, I told myself to try,
To stop thinking, and
To trust in time.

Tonight, I felt pain from afar,
Wrapped it up with a pretty bow,
and carried it home with me.

Tonight, I lost so much energy...
I lost hours, yet
gained so much more.
