Rain Dancing

loving the rain

I sit in the night and watch the rain

pelting the chimes

and singing a soothing song

Colliding with the pool water

then jumping up to dance in the air

One by one, yet all together

dancing in perfect harmony

The light of the moon

casting shadows on the water

makes the dancing of the droplets even more marvelous

I dance with the raindrops

naked and raw

Like a fairy in the woodland

without worry or strife

just dancing with the drops

to sweet rain music

made by my chime

The droplets on my body

feel so cold and clean

running down my face

I close my eyes

and spin around

and around and around

until I sense the slowing of the rain

the chime music slowing

no more soothing song to hear

droplets dancing slower and slower

one by one yet all together

ending in perfect harmony
