Aftermath

Aftermath

A Poem by Alex Fegley (Extro Zifer)
"

I almost lost him. I'm so scared to be without him...

"
Shaking. Left without breath. Guilt washing over me. The fear, it's too much.
It's welling up in my chest. I'm crying because it hurts so much.
What have I done, why did I say that? I couldn't possibly
have spoken a worse combination of words.
It was late, I was unrested, but that's no excuse. I should have
enough common sense to keep my mouth shut.
I mean, who the hell says that?? I can't believe how stupid I've been.
And you've been patient, you've given me time and so many chances.
I just need you to know that I'm sorry, I'll watch what I say and do.
You make me a better person every time we talk.
Because of you I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't hurt
myself because you make the sorrow disappear.
I need you in my life. I want to be the best person I can be.
You inspire me.
You love me, like nobody else can. Not even my own family.
Please, never let go of me.
I love you Lesha. I hope you never forget.

This is a great poem, and I can tell that you wrote this in the heat of your emotions, which isn't technically a bad thing(: keep writing.

I'm young and full of emotion. I tend to have sudden mood shifts and so far almost all of what I've written has come from the depressed side of the shift. I really just wanted to get my work out to th.. more..
