These shadowsA Poem by Eyudoa dream scape of ones lost in the past
These shadows dance in front of me But for some reason there faces I cannot see They laugh and play and just melt there time away But still I do not know who they are I do not fear them They will not harm Where from are they sent Why do they dear such a happy arm? Can they seem me? Or is there sight obliviously Clueless t my existence They are silently insistive My instincts say to watch But my eyes burn at the mysterious figures I look, but do no more As they make their way around the floor Just an empty room Then and I “I think I know what they re now” I say with an unrelieved sigh One has a face! I swear it just appeared! A familiar sight My memories return from flight They are the ones from my past Ones so dearly missed But their names are stuck there They just keep on their insist No! They can’t see me So they are only here to haunt They whisper about there time to leave Though I get no final reprieve They float up and I cry out “no!” “I missed you all! Please don’t go!” Though this time they here me and stop to look down They still leave, no expression to be found They re gone again As if they were ever really there Then I woke up from that nightmare
