midnight runA Poem by Eyudo
Midnight Run Burst of speed running through the fallen leaves Midnight’s the time, a place with no rhyme Running through the woods as fast as I could This all for fun, my midnight run Kicking up dirt and swirling leaves The season of fall, a cool reprieve Running faster, I start to pant Smiling all the way, who says I cant? Weaving through trees Doing so with ease Winds catch me on my face In this time I love this place Alone but not lost New trails I come across Running still, the moon above It flies as I run as a white dove Spinning and dancing as I slow down Knowing no one else is around Seeing my breath with a dissipating fog Nearing myself to the river next to the bog Splashing in the water and taking a drink But not so far in to where I will sink Then I dash back out and up the hill All this at midnight for my own thrill © 2008 Eyudo |
