From Ashes

 

 

 

Born again

Into this ceaseless world

It spins on

But I never move with it

I’m created once

But rebirthed man a times

One life to live

But I live forever

Refreshed, renewed, relived

Reborn

 

With bones of coal

And feathers a fire

I have no goal

But my flames never expires

 

An “old age” comes

And I grow weary

Time to do my thing

A show so spectacular

And a trick to match

Rejuvenation it brings

 

A burst of flames

I explode!

Into the ashes I go

Smoldering in the nest

Seems like a sad death

But the ashes twitch

And from the ashes I rise

I’m a baby again

But not dead

A phoenix may take another flight
