rings of the moonA Poem by Eyudo
Rings of the moon The watch of the eye that glows above Aging with the stars Walking on the Milky Way But from the earth it’s never too far But surrounding this orb Isn’t just black It has colors A surprising fact It wears jewelry That we call rings That show of the earth To which it sings The inner ring is green As in the color of the land Where most of we may roam From everyone spec of dirt To every grain of sand The green ring glows Telling stories of the land Then fades into the next ring Putting the light in the next hand The middle ring blue A dark and deep one too All waters are shown Rivers, oceans, and all lakes are known It speaks of waves and whales And the boats with winds in their sails Then all things been told It gives way to the final color fold The most outer ring is spectacular The one to pull it off The rings of white protruding lights The one of life in thought It symbolizes and reflects The life and every breath taken From the humans To the animals To all the plants that make We are all in that ring somewhere This I do not mistake So from the green ring of the land And the blue ring of the water And the white ring of life I kid you not, they are there Next time it is full, just look These are the rings of the moon © 2009 Eyudo |
