Reaching

I've felt and been wherever they took me
the shadows departed and here I stood still
wondering, watching, alone and forgotten
for these few tears my heart broke again.

Here I listened to some music, guitars and bass
to raging screaming of the singers voice so invain
here I was lingering for an answer from them
yet here I live still in the deep underground.

And sometimes I hear them recognizing me still
my name is pain and forgotten but yet I remain
for those few only that truly have been with me
here in the shadows where I lay lingering.
