When I got it right with the Lord

I was blessed indeed

I felt a deep passion in my heart

When the Lord took me aside

and ripped out my heart

Repaired it and stuck it back in as I began

 

Life with a new spirit again

I felt a crowning jewel in my heart

One that wasn't there at the start

I have received the Lord's secret heart

intertwined with my own

now my spirit will never live alone

I will hear in my heart

That good Old Angel's Harp

Will make me sing and dance

in a royal romance with the Lord

Showing me the way to heaven's Golden Gates

and I shall enter when I arrive

For Jesus forgave all my sins

and he has kept my spirit alive

Good Lord come to me set me free

and I shall be free indeed.
