Her Bleeding GhostA Poem by Fallen_ImmortalWhat happens when a loved one dies and you cannot take it?
She sees you. Couldn't take the pain. I wonder why? She couldn't live without; She knew that you were gonna die. And so you understand that All the plans you made have gone awry. And so she takes the bullet; Falls right in front of your eyes.
You can't stop fate or time From catching up on its victim. You can't lie To save her. She's bleeding out her life. You can't do anything But let her know You'll be there when she dies. (I'm here.)
She sees only her love for you. She doesn't understand why. (I died for you.)
You cannot Rid yourself of the sight. You do not understand Why she's eating up your life. And though she bleeds for you Eternally in your mind, You begin to bleed too, Each and every night. (Love, why?)
She sees only her love for you. She doesn't understand why You want to die. She gave you life. (Live.)
She lies beside you every night As your dreams come crashing down. She has every damn right To keep you holding on. Haunt your life.
She's gone to save you. (Your pain is breaking me. I wish that you could see) Never thought it'd end like this. (Why I can never leave. You are my everything.) Her blood's still on your hands. (Your pain is making me so I can never leave.) Never should have come to this. (Don't mean to haunt your life, but you can't die tonight.)
Do you remember the time That she died To save your life? And you didn't cry In time To keep her from haunting your heart and mind. Now you're standing here; Can't repent all the things you fear. And though she died for you, Her memory's too much to bear.
She sees only her love for you. She doesn't understand why You can't take the fall. You can't take the fall. Face your fears. You're still standing there, Up in the air, But you won't fall. She's still next to you and says You can't lose it all. © 2008 Fallen_ImmortalAuthor's Note
