Reading a Facebook Comment

The comment was: 'You're awesome <3'. It was by a friend.

He read the comment as it popped up on his screen, his face fairly expressionless. He blinked twice, not sure how to react and then smiled. It was a nice feeling. It was a good day. His fingers hovered over the keypad thinking of a reply, maybe just replicate the same emoticon, maybe. Then quite abruptly, he typed in: 'I love you.' Just that. No emoticons. No prefix. No suffix. Just that. Just warmth. 'I love you.' It was a nice feeling. It was a good day.
