My Mother

An ode to my mom...

A ray of hope,

A shining light,

A gift of God,

A reassuring sight.

A blessing of heaven,

A comforting face,

A rose pure,

In the world’s race.

A blessing Divine,

A sparkling star,

Whose hug takes you,

Into a world afar.

Face aglow,

Smiling sweet,

Helping you,

Stand on your feet.

Comforting us,

When we cry,

Working day and night,

But never a sigh.

To me she is,

Very dear,

With her by my side,

Never fear.

Author's Note

I wrote this for my mother about 4 years back. I haven't edited it again so any suggestions are welcome. :) And send me a title picture for the poem.
