I'm in love with my Best Friend

Just a free verse poem I came up with while hanging out with my crush <3

I'm In love with my best friend,

who's in love with someone else,
It's an unpredictable circumstance,
there's nothing I can do now,
I'm jealous of his girl,
and I wish that I was his,
I wish I could tell him how I feel,
but what if he doesn't feel the same,
what if it throws our friendship away,
I've been asked out before,
but I play it off cool,
but that's not what he would do,
and my heart would be in two,
he is my best friend,
and I don't want that to end,
I wish he was mine forever,
but he hasn't been mine yet,
I'm in love with my best friend,
maybe well be together in the end.
