A mainly free verse poem I wrote about my best friend / crush

Each moment I think
is another second I'm falling for you

Your laugh
even if used to laugh at me
still makes me smile

The darkening dragging pain your eyes scream
never felt so heartbreaking tell they were turned away

And the songs you enjoy even if crude
I'll still listen too to remember you

And the way you sound
almost broken but still going
gives me hope

But when you stop speaking
I feel as broken as my own heart
as it burns to tell you that I love you

But I cant find the words
so that I don't freeze in your presence

Sometimes when I'm down all I need
is the sound of your voice
to make me whole again

But seeing you with someone else but me
is more heartbreaking than knowing you don't feel the same.
