Hammers and nailsA Poem by Darkness_in_the_dayThis poem expresses the danger of letting ones emotions show.
My emotions protrude like a nail
And you are the hammer, prepared to strike forcing me to retreat to the dark offering me no insight Anger attacks the calm demeanor battering my already painful wounds invisible to the naked eye the aggravating ignorance, all consumed Agree to disagree but it is your way and no other I guard my rusty heart and mind the nail has been smothered. © 2015 Darkness_in_the_day |
