Photographs

A poem I wrote that focuses on a picture I have of me and an ex.

Frozen for an eternity
A picture painted in time
A memory
A bit of history
Your life

Bringing memories
Of times of less struggle
The couple in the photograph
Looking so happy and loved
Now bitter enimies

You like to look
Remember good times
But the tears pouring
Like a waterfall from your eyes
Tell different tales

No matter how much I lie
How many stories I tell
This is the present
I can't live in the past
No matter how badly I wish to
