Little Girl

Little Girl

A Poem by Jessica
"

This is how I feel sometimes when I write. It's a descriptive poem of myself.

"

Lonely little girl,

writing near the windows

As she dreams of breaking free;

To run away and spread her wings

and fly to another life.

One without pain or grief,

without sadness or sorrow,

without regret or bad memories.

Her notebook is her life,

and her pen is her wings

as her dreams come to life

If only for a little while

i LOVE the first line, lonely little girl. i instantly like the girl and want to do someting to comfort her. this line drew me right in. maybe it's because i am, or was, that girl. thanks for sharing!

I love this poem. This is what people do in real life except you put it on paper. Good job!

umm....why would you have to run away if you have wings??? :P

haha sorry. you know how i like always make things more complicated then they need to be. The poem is very well written, in my opinion. I feel like a lot of people can relate to this. I know I did. Even though i'm not much of a writer, my escape is the books I read and music I listen to. Same concept to me just instead of a pen I have head phones. :)
