Why do we love and end up hurting?
Why do we spend our lives constantly searching?
Why do we want, but never really need?
Why do we have hearts that constantly bleed?

Why do we keep secrets from those we love?
Why can’t we look down from the eyes of a dove?
Why do we hold our memories so close to us?
Why can’t we let go without a fuss?

Why do we smile without meaning a thing?
Why do we see life as a dream?
Why can’t we see what is right before our eyes?
Why can’t we look past anothers disguise?

Why do we look at the clouds for a thought?
Why can’t we see what the storms have brought?
Why do we ignore what our friends have to say?
Why does life end up this way?
