The Longing Soul

Personal pain

As I listen to the music I try to relax
I feel so much emotion
Too much burdening me
Some is my doing
Some their doing

 

All I want is to feel the release
Do I pose the ability to really float?

Can I really lift myself out of this body that is now tainted?
Can I cleanse this soul that I have turned black?

It is the spiritual essence that I crave
To be one with my mind

I see both sides of me
I can be gentle and mothering
But I can also be cold, selfish and cruel

I am torn
Do I long for the acceptance or do I long for the freedom
I don’t know yet

i must say that some of the questions asked in here can only be answered by you. it was an intresting read, make the reader look at some of the issues in there own lives and question them too. well done

as to the structure you may consider separating your piece into more stanzas.
