The Muse of My Soul

Lights flashing
Bass moving in on me
I am surrounded by my muse

 

It is the one place I feel safe
It is where my mind can be let free
I let the music fill my body
The words embrace me
I feel my body relax as I start to move

I don’t care who is looking
It is my time for me
It is the one place I can be who I want to be
It is the one place I can change personalities
With just a push of the button

And I am not judge

The music does not question my motives
The music does not ask anything of me
The music just wants to be heard

this is a great expression of losing your self in a controlled environment if you will. "Music can sooth the fiercest of beasts" so it is said so i am not surprised to read that that is you escape from the world and its cruelty.

i liked the flow of this one. maybe just separating the stanzas would give it better structure. still a good read.
