Blood And Water

Christ's death on the cross marked the beginning of a new relationship beween God and man. The "new birth" was initiated at Calvary when blood and water poured from Christ's side.

 

  Blood and water poured from Christ’s side

 In order that we might abide

In Jesus and escape God’s wrath

Led by His Spirit in the path

That saints throughout the ages trod

In order that a loving God

Might save us from eternal Hell

And let us drink from His deep well

Of blood and water poured on the earth

To consummate mankind’s new birth

On Calvary the day Christ died
