Evil

Evil

A Poem by scribblesandsuch

Bound with sorrow I walk this road,

My shoulders strain with this heavy load,

I have seen evil, and its face calls to me,

I have seen evil, and it cages the free,

I have seen evil, as it darkens the sky,

I have seen evil, know its truth is a lie,

I have seen evil, though its love is to kill,

I have seen evil, and its hate is its thrill,

I have seen evil, watch, it cheats its own death,

I have seen evil, because envy is its breath,

I have seen evil, whilst it preys on the weak,

I have seen evil, in that which seems so meek,

I have seen evil, now it plagues my own soul,

I have seen evil, now it devours me whole,

I have seen evil, I have seen mankind.
