Humanity

A Poem by scribblesandsuch

Watch the little girl in the corner.

See how she rocks back and forth,

Clinging to her shins to stay afloat.

She is sinking.

I know it. You know it. She knows it.

Let a crowd form, so we can all

Stand, and watch the young girl in the corner.

Yes, let’s all stand here,

We’ll stand and witness a lonely girl break.

We will watch her fall apart at the seams,

We will stand and watch.

The bane of my existence is our existence.

Mankind.

Every day I learn of more,

Every day I am sickened.
